The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library's Genealogy and Local History department provides research level resources and services in local history and culture, river history, genealogy, and African American history.
Now available to watch on the Library’s YouTube channel are eight lecture presentations from 2019 when the Library partnered with the Cincinnati Reds Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum presented by Dinsmore to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the organization. Baseball historians and authors each presented different stories and aspects of the team from its beginnings in 1869 to modern times.
Although not exhaustive, this collection includes multimedia from over 40 years of Greater Cincinnati’s LGBTQ+ organizations and groups, including community ephemera, video footage of LGBTQ+ celebrations and marches, public access television shows, and Cincinnati Pride-related materials. This growing collection also contains video oral history interviews with elder members of the Cincinnati LGBTQ+ community sharing their personal experiences about LGBTQ+ life in Cincinnati.
